“Almighty (God)! By the glorious Qur’an! Nay, they wonder that a warner has come to them from among themselves; so the disbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing! When we die and become dust — that is a far return.” —Holy Qur’an, Surah 50, verses 1-3
A mirror is used to reflect objects to our view. Modern technology is based upon the field of optics, of lasers and crystals, and advanced glass technology used in the study of geophysics, oceanography, digital cameras, computers and astronomy. The history of glass making goes back many thousands of years B.C. to Mesopotamia, to the country of Iraq and Syria, to Sumeria and Egypt where glass jewelry and other glassware were beautifully carved and shaped into luxurious vessels of beauty and splendor used in those ancient civilizations.
Glass beads are also found in ancient jewelry making and beautiful colored stones. The modern process of glass making moves us into the area of optics, telescopes for peering deep into space, bringing back to us pictures of what is mirrored in space time. There is a stage in glass making which includes the use of a dark material, usually lead. In order for a mirror to shine or reflect one has to have a lead-based or dark-based element. The purpose of a mirror is to reflect images to the outside coming from within. In this sense, we often refer to the mirror or eye of the soul which we understand to be one’s inner light or perception.
When we light a candle, it flickers and glows from its waxy wick. We are able to distinguish shadows illumined all around us and with proper concentration, we are able to expand our consciousness and communicate deep from within. In the Brother’s Grimm fairytale, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, a queen in some remote palace, once upon a time, gave birth to a beautiful princess whose skin was white as snow, and whose lips were red crimson as blood, and hair was black as ebony.
The queen mother soon died after her birth and the king was left alone to raise his princess daughter. He soon took another wife who was inwardly very vain to the degree that she consulted her mirror to proclaim herself as the fairest, most beautiful woman in the land. As the young princess grew, she became most lovely and her beauty outshined that of the queen. The queen became so envious of Snow White that she ordered her henchman to take Snow White into the forest to slay her, and as proof of this brutal act, to bring her back Snow White’s heart and tongue.
The henchman grieved over this thought, so much so, that when he drew his sharp instrument to kill her, he could not carry it out but instead, beckoned her to take flight deep within the forest. He killed a wild boar (pig) instead and took its heart and tongue back to the queen who was delighted over the thought that she would now be considered the fairest and most beautiful lady in the land. In the mean-time, Snow White escaped into the woods where she found refuge in a little cottage with seven dwarfs. The Seven Dwarfs became her protectors and friends and loved her very much. She remained faithful to her duties in keeping the house clean and keeping food prepared and was a great housekeeper and companion.
In the meanwhile, the Queen consulted her mirror once again and discovered that Snow White still lived and was one thousand times more beautiful than the queen. So she went to her lab to perform her black magic. She disguised herself and made her way to the little cottage where Snow White remained. Upon three occasions she attempted to kill Snow White, one means was to smother her in a garment fastened tightly about her bodice so tightly that she couldn’t breathe. The second attempt was to sell her poison combs for her hair. And the third and final attempt was to prepare poison pieces of apple which got stuck in her throat.
The Dwarfs in each case were alarmed over her death and tried to bring her back to life; and in the final attempt of the poison apple, they failed. So in their grief they prepared a glass casket in which to lay her and placed her on a rock in a secretive part of the forest. One day a prince came by the glass casket and asked the Dwarfs if he could take the body and that he could bring her back to life. So he had his guards lift the glass casket and begin carrying it through the wooded path in the forest, when suddenly, they lost their footing and the casket tilted and the chunk of the poisoned apple fell out of her mouth and she was revived.
He then asked for her hand in marriage, brought her to his kingdom and prepared a great wedding feast. One of the invitees was the wicked stepmother who decided to come to the wedding to see Snow White. Snow White was so frightened when she saw her, and told the prince that she was the one who had tried to kill her upon three occasions. The prince called for punishment to bring to the stepmother hot burning shoes of iron and place them on her feet, which was done; and she danced herself in those hot burning shoes until she danced herself to death. And the prince and the princess and all in the kingdom lived happily ever after.
The moral of this story are many as we enter into this year of reflection, 2015. We are in the midst of an extremely wicked and poisonous society that intends to attract us to their lifestyle of frivolity and vanity, which make one’s appearance more important than the purity of one’s heart, mind and soul. To remain innocent and to keep our children safe takes more than talking. It takes spiritual grooming and activity every day to bring us into a new reality.
The root of the White man’s civilization is always to make the appearance that they are the most beautiful and superior in the land; and they will do all that they can to get rid of our presence and very essence of being. So we must be aware of the tricknollegy of their world as they come to us with many disguises, but their whole objective is to kill the people of God and to kill the Messenger and deprive us of a future, and they will make every attempt to do so.
“We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them and with Us is a book that preserves. Nay, they reject the Truth when it comes to them, so they are in a state of confusion. Do they not look at the sky above them? —how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps.”—Holy Qur’an, Surah 50, verses 4-6
