“And to Him be praise in the heavens and the earth, and in the afternoon, and when the sun declines. He brings forth the living from the dead and brings forth the dead from the living, and gives life to the earth after its death. And thus will you be brought forth.”
–Holy Qur’an, Surah 30, verses 18-19
Everything in nature emits a frequency of sound possessing light and the vibration of the life force needed to sustain itself in the Divine Creation. Through the Divine Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, we are taught the arts and sciences of civilization, which leads to our renewal, regeneration, love, peace and happiness, if we know how to apply these principles to our everyday life.
He taught us that long, exhaustive hours of study and work must be balanced by going out into nature by walking, exercising or driving through scenic routes, which puts the mind into an environment that is conducive to creative and meditative thoughts and activities.
In the early days of Islam, the followers under the Divine Guidance of Master W. Fard Muhammad studied and prepared their assignments during long, exhaustive hours of the night and the day. A special time was set aside for some form of recreation, which included playing softball, and other outdoor activities that involved being in nature.
There were other activities that involved listening to music and dancing in the right setting and atmosphere to protect our good morals. Such activities are open to us today when we practice the right kind of civilization, upholding the best of manners, combined with acts of cleanliness, both inwardly and outwardly, to reflect God’s Divine Light.
Why, I wondered, did the Master demonstrate a style of dance similar to the waltz while, at times, he exhibited a water glass on his head held in perfect balance and harmony? What did he know about music and the aesthetics of dancing in a circle in this style? What was he communicating to the observers? Why wasn’t he shaking and bumping in our modern styles?
Could it be that he was demonstrating to a savage a more peaceful and aesthetic form of movement that aligns us to the attunement of mind, body and soul to the vibrations of the Universe? As we circle in this graceful manner, it is like circling the pole or axis of oneself aligned with our earth’s rotation in synchronic order with all the other planets of our solar system. Thus, we are moving in perfect harmony with the life force generated by God, Himself, of which water and the crystal glass are symbolic.
We can, perhaps, begin to recognize that the harmonics of music and sound is the principle vibration or frequency manifested in the act of the Divine Creation. When this science is learned and properly applied, we can be healed and regenerated into a new life of renewal for ourselves on this planet.
There are many environmental issues being voiced currently by a core of scientists and non-governmental societies on conservation, and the proper biospheric and environmental development to be employed that does not destroy or exploit the natural resources of our planet. This has already been demonstrated in deforestation, which leads to drought and ultimately the drying up of ecological reserves of plant life, animal, fauna, mammals and bird species, which is bringing death to our Planet and human kind.
Can we save our existence through the discovery of this missing note in music that may dwell within ourselves? Could that missing note exist in the nature of our being that is linked to our biosphere that can make the difference between life and death on our planet?
“And of His signs is this, that the heaven and the earth subsist by His command. Then when He calls you–from the earth–lo! you come forth. And His is whosoever is in the heavens and the earth. All are obedient to Him. And He it is, Who originates the creation, then reproduces it, and it is very easy to Him. And His is the most exalted state in the heavens and the earth; And He is the Mighty, the Wise.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 30, verses 25-27
More to come, God Willing!
